Pension Alpenstern is the perfect starting point for exploring numerous marked hiking tracks and trails heading to rustic huts, steep mountain tops and picturesque plateaus. In Sölden, 300 kilometers of hiking tracks, more than 30 huts and restaurants as well as 7 ropeways (free of charge with the ÖTZTAL INSIDE SUMMER CARD) offer plenty to discover the area from the valley up to the surrounding 3,000 meter high summits. Especially with the ropeways, you are close to your destination in next to no time, also with kids. Once arrived on top, enjoy a 360° mountain view, pure Alpine air as well as local delicacies and cordial hospitality in the huts and restaurants. More starting points and hiking areas can easily be reached with the special hiking shuttles, which bring you wherever you want to go – be it the Timmelsjoch or the entrance of the valley. A biking vacation in Sölden

Easy going. Since 2015, the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN has been offering a wide network of shaped lines, natural and enduro trails as well as two pump tracks in the valley. With their valuable inputs, well-trained biking guides make sure that even beginners know everything about the right and safe techniques on two wheels. The special bike tickets of the Bergbahnen Sölden offer unlimited rides up the mountains, transportation of your bike included! Only a few meters from your accommodation you can access the trails and enjoy the first ride down to the lower terminus of the Gaislachkogelbahn.

Apart from these trails, choose between numerous mountain biking and cycling routes, which bring you up on the mountains, to the entrance or the end of the valley. Such as the new, 50 kilometers long Ötztal Cycle Trail, which extends from Sölden to Haiming at the entrance of the valley. Go on a day trip or cycle it stage-by-stage, also with your e-bike.
