More starting points and hiking areas can easily be reached with the special hiking shuttles, which bring you wherever you want to go – be it the Timmelsjoch or the entrance of the valley. With the ÖTZTAL PREMIUM CARD the hiking shuttles as well as public transportation are free of charge.
A biking vacation in Sölden
Easy going. Since 2015, the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN has been offering a wide network of shaped lines, natural and enduro trails as well as two pump tracks in the valley. With their valuable inputs, well-trained biking guides make sure that even beginners know everything about the right and safe techniques on two wheels. The special bike tickets of the Bergbahnen Sölden offer unlimited rides up the mountains, transportation of your bike included! Only a few meters from your accommodation you can access the trails and enjoy the first ride down to the lower terminus of the Gaislachkogelbahn.
Apart from these trails, choose between numerous mountain biking and cycling routes, which bring you up on the mountains, to the entrance or the end of the valley. Such as the new, 50 kilometers long Ötztal Cycle Trail, which extends from Sölden to Haiming at the entrance of the valley. Go on a day trip or cycle it stage-by-stage, also with your e-bike. And wherever you stop, the great network of public transportation (bike transport included) allows you to return back home comfortably (free of charge with the ÖTZTAL (PREMIUM) CARD).
Summer activities in the Ötztal
Rich in variety. A summer in the Ötztal is not only perfect for sportspeople, but also for nature and culture lovers. Our top recommendations: The Stuibenfall in Umhausen, the Seejöchl above Lake Piburg in Oetz, the Timmelsjoch with its 5 architectural stops, or the Schwarze Schneid platform at more than 3,000 meters above sea level on the Rettenbachgletscher. If you are looking for a diversified family experience, visit Almzeit in Sölden, where, among other things, the Zwergerl theme paths encourage family-friendly hikes. At the WIDIVERSUM in Hochoetz, an exciting treasure hunt with many stops for playing and discovering, as well as a 5D cinema are waiting for you. Fun in the water is guaranteed in the Freizeit Arena Sölden, at the bathing lake in Umhausen or in the AQUA DOME thermal bath in Längenfeld.
