All of this is topped by guaranteed snow from December to April and the perfect infrastructure right from down the valley up to the highest mountain tops. Directly ski out from Pension Alpenstern and take the slope down to the lower terminus of the Gaislachkogelbahn. If you are a beginner, you will find the perfect practicing slope in the close-by Innerwald. Learn from the best and enroll in one of the ski classes of the local ski schools, no matter if it is your first try, or if you want to fine-tune your skills. Well-trained, experienced ski instructors are there for you, and even the smallest are taken well care of, so that they soon can enjoy skiing as much as you do. For an extra dose of skiing, join the legendary night skiing on Wednesdays and enjoy the entertainment at the Gaislachkogel middle station. Winter activities in Sölden
Legendary, even off the slopes! Discover untouched mountains and valleys and try ski touring. To play it safe, ask for an experienced ski guide. Or try snowshoeing or winter hiking and discover rustic huts in the sun and homemade, local delicacies. On the tranquil side of Sölden, for instance, you can reach the Stallwies Alm after a 1.5 hour hike, where hut jamborees and tobogganing fun are waiting for you. A fun ride on the toboggan is also guaranteed going down the Stiegele tobogganing run, starting at the Gaislachkogel middle station. The 7.3 kilometers long run boasts thrilling passages, sharp bends and snowy views. The best thing about the tobogganing run? It is almost next to your accommodation. Down in the valley, there are three slopes for classic cross country skiing and skating. If you wish to cover some more kilometers on your cross country skis, go to Zwieselstein, Gurgl or Längenfeld, where even more slopes are waiting for you. The ice skating rink in Sölden is open daily and you can skate, play hockey or curling until late - a perfect bad weather or evening activity.
